Mr. Daniel Watson

Director of High School Choirs
Daniel Watson is a versatile teacher and musician living in Central Indianapolis with over a decade in the industry. In his fourth year at Greenwood, he serves as the Director of Choirs teaching Jade, Rhapsody, Reverie, Chorale, and Beginning Piano. Mr. Watson is also an Associate Faculty of Voice at the IUPUI Department of Music and Arts Technology. Mr. Watson owns Daniel Watson Music (danielscottwatson.com), where he maintains an active private music studio and regularly collaborates and performs in the community through conducting, piano and vocal performance, and composing.


Mr. Watson previously worked for five years as the Director of Music at Covenant Christian High School in Indianapolis, Indiana where he taught choirs, band, and music theory. He recently completed his NCSA Graduate Fellowship, earning his Masters of Arts in Education in Instruction and Curriculum Design at York College, with a research focus in behavioral, cognitive, and emotional student engagement. Mr. Watson graduated magna cum laude from the University of Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education studying piano, voice, and composition. As a collaborative musician in Indianapolis, Mr. Watson is also a member of the American Choral Directors Association, Indiana Choral Directors Association, and the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). Mr. Watson received the Outstanding Future Music Educator Award of 2015 from the Indiana Music Education Association as well as the NAfME National Professional Achievement Award in 2014 and 2015. 


Mr. Watson can be found singing tenor in the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir with his wonderful wife, Bethany, at the Hilbert Circle Theatre and the Palladium. He has performed and directed at Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, Great Britain, France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, and various university campuses. Mr. Watson’s passion for music education aims to foster lifelong passions, memorable moments, and transformation.

Miss Caitlin Lincourt

Director of Middle School Choirs
Caitlin Lincourt is currently in her 15th year of teaching in the Greenwood Community School Corporation. She is the middle school choir director, with three distinct choirs and a junior vocal jazz choir, as well as the sixth grade General Music teacher. She is also the director of the middle school musical held in the fall of each year. Miss Lincourt graduated magna cum laude from Indiana State University with a degree in Music Education.


Miss Lincourt is active in several professional music organizations. She is a member of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) and the National Association for Music Education (NAfME, local chapter IMEA). Many of her students have been a part of the Honor choir at IMEA. She also is currently involved in Area 5 Middle School Circle the State with Song (CSWS) program. In the summer of 2018, she traveled to Europe with the Indiana Ambassadors of Music as a staff director and plans to go again summer 2023. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, baking, sewing, and is active in community theatre as an actress and vocal director.

Mrs. Kristen Short

Interim Music Department Secretary 

Mrs. Kristen (Mom) Short is the interim music department secretary for Greenwood High School. She performs administrative duties for both the choir and the band, as well as supporting the music department staff. Music has always been a big part of her life and the life of her family. She played piccolo and flute in high school. She and her husband, Andrew, have four children who have all been in the Greenwood band, beginning in 2008. Her son, Adam, graduated in 2012, her son, Eric, graduated in 2016, her son, Colin, graduated in 2020, and her daughter, Julia, is currently a junior flute player. Mom Short has served as a “Box Mom”, assisting the students with their uniforms, since 2009 and became “Head Box Mom” in 2012. Mom Short enjoys getting to know students, especially watching how much they grow as people and musicians during their time at GHS. In her spare time, Mom Short enjoys reading, spending time with family, leading Bible study at her church, and hanging out with her adorable Yorkshire Terrier, Cooper.

Mr. Bradley Lieto

Voice Instructor 
Mr. Bradley Lieto, musical director and pianist; lives his life mostly as a singer, pianist, voice teacher and conductor. A tenor and teacher, he is a sought after soloist, technician, pianist, master class teacher and pedagog. A native of Detroit, he has worked building several communities with music over the few decades.  

He moved to Indiana in 2022 to pursue a doctoral degree at the Jacobs School of Music at IU Bloomington where he studies voice, pedagogy and vocology with Dr. Brian Gill.  An active student and teacher both, he will be working closely with SNATS this fall (the student chapter of the National Association of the Teachers of Singing).  Formerly he served on the faculty of Madonna University in Livonia, MI where he taught undergraduate voice, conducting, conducted the Crusader Chorale and served as Musical Director and accompanist for the Lyric Theater. He holds a Master’s in Vocal Performance degree from the University of Toledo as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Central Michigan University.

An avid collaborator and performer, he sings everything from operas and musicals to the Great American songbook as well as current commercial pop.  An eclectic musician, he has a great love for classical music but loves a mean piano bar just as fiercely.  In addition to the stage he fills many roles of the musical landscape of various communities. Most often he can be found in the orchestra pit conducting or accompanying, but is also onstage at times. He has sung professionally with  Opera Modo, Toledo Opera, Michigan Opera Theater and Si Parla Si Canta and also sings for the opera program at IU.  He premiered Dr. Dussel last spring at IU in "the Diary of Anne Frank" and will sing Don Anchise there in "La Finta Giardiniera" this fall.  He also serves as Music Director/Minister for St. Barnabas Catholic Parish in Greenwood where he teaches multiple ensembles and directs all things musical from choirs to private voice to handbell carillons and liturgies.  

Dr. Karri York

Voice Instructor 
Dr. Karri York, soprano, currently serves on the Voice Faculty at Anderson University, IUPUI Music  Arts and Technology, and UIndy Community Music Academy. In addition to teaching voice, Dr. York is  Director of Music at Tapestry Church in Greenwood, Indiana where she directs choir, handbells, youth  ensembles, and instrumental ensembles. She is active in several professional music organizations. Her  roles include Secretary of the Indiana Chapter of National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS),  President of Indiana Arts Festival, an Indiana State School Music Association (ISSMA) Certified  Adjudicator in the area of Vocal/Piano Solo and Ensemble Events, and Board Member of Indianapolis  Matinee Musicale. She is also certified in the LoVetri Institute for Somatic Voicework.  

Dr. York’s professional performance experiences include solo recitals, oratorio, opera, and extensive  studio work as a session singer. She has performed as soprano soloist for Castlewood Chamber Singers  in extravagant Basilicas in Portugal and Spain, and as a select choral singer with Indianapolis Chamber  Orchestra for Beethoven’s opera Fidelio. In addition, she has performed soprano roles in Handel’s  Messiah, Haydn’s The Creation, Mozart’s Mass in C Minor and Mozart’s Requiem with such ensembles  as Hendricks County Symphony Orchestra, Fishers Chamber Orchestra, Masterworks Chorale, and  Muncie Symphony Orchestra. Her favorite operatic roles, which she has also performed, include Susanna  in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, Laurie Moss in Copland’s The Tenderland, Gretel in Humperdinck’s  Hansel and Gretel, and Nerone in Handel’s Aggripina.
